Bay Area Service Areas

One operation, six regions

The Bay Area is not one traffic system. A Peninsula airport run, an East Bay crossing and a wine-country day are genuinely different jobs, with different timing risks and different vehicle constraints. Planning them the same way is where schedules go wrong.

We are a service-area operation: we come to you. There is no public counter to visit, and journeys are arranged in advance by phone, text or online rather than hailed. That also means our coverage follows routes rather than a fixed radius — if your journey starts or ends in the region, it is usually something we can do.

San Francisco

In the city, timing is governed by congestion rather than distance, and the pickup point matters as much as the pickup time. Kerb space downtown is limited and time-restricted, and one-way approaches decide which side of a building a vehicle can actually reach. Hotel, conference and event work makes up much of what we do here.

The Peninsula

The Peninsula is shaped by the airport corridor. US-101 and I-280 run roughly parallel and behave quite differently at the same hour, so the sensible route depends on when you are travelling rather than which looks shorter. Much of the residential work here involves private lanes and estate addresses where the approach, not the address, is the useful detail. Early-morning airport departures dominate.

We serve Atherton, Menlo Park and Portola Valley, and the surrounding Peninsula more broadly.

Also regularly served: Palo Alto, Woodside, Hillsborough, Burlingame, Redwood City, Los Altos Hills, Belmont, San Carlos and Foster City.

Silicon Valley and the South Bay

South Bay work skews corporate: campus visits, multi-stop days across several sites, offsites and conference movement. San Jose Mineta is close enough that it is often the better airport for this region even when a traveller assumed SFO.

The East Bay and the Tri-Valley

For most of the East Bay, Oakland is the nearest airport, and the variable on any journey is the crossing rather than the mileage — bridges and tunnels are what make an East Bay run predictable or not. The I-680 and I-580 corridors carry a steady amount of business travel, including the Bishop Ranch area.

Also regularly served: Alamo, San Ramon, Walnut Creek, Orinda, Lafayette, Berkeley, Oakland, Emeryville, Fremont, Hayward, Livermore, Richmond, San Leandro and Union City.

Marin and the North Bay

Marin journeys are bridge-dependent, which makes departure time the single biggest factor in whether a schedule holds. Highway 101 north is the spine of the region. In practice a good share of Marin work does not end in Marin at all — it continues north into wine country, which changes how the day should be structured.

Regularly served: Sausalito, Mill Valley, Tiburon, Belvedere, Larkspur, Corte Madera, San Rafael, Novato, Ross, Kentfield, Greenbrae and San Anselmo.

Napa, Sonoma and the wine country

Wine-country work is usually hourly rather than a transfer: the vehicle and chauffeur stay with the group for the day, because the itinerary moves. Two things matter more here than anywhere else — venue access varies enormously, with some properties unable to take a full-size vehicle at all, and travel north peaks at exactly the hours groups want to set off.

Coverage here works by region rather than by city list, and airport transfers and longer point-to-point journeys routinely run well outside the names above. If your pickup or destination is not listed, send us the route — it is usually straightforward to answer.

Choosing a vehicle for the region

Passenger and luggage capacity varies by vehicle configuration. Confirm the number of passengers and amount of luggage when requesting a quote so the appropriate vehicle can be assigned. Region matters too: estate lanes on the Peninsula and some hillside wine-country properties limit the size of vehicle that can physically reach the door, so the largest option is not always the right one.
